Led by Artistic Director, Mervin William Fick, MCS Chorus is committed to the classical choral repertoire, strong community engagement and vital educational programming. Founded in 1975 as a large (80 voice) oratorio society, the choir evolved to its current musical ensemble as a chamber choir of approximately 30 auditioned singers.
MCS Chorus offers a diversified season of extensive community engagement events, multi-generational musical education programming and ticketed concerts. This wide range of programming compliments other music organizations, offering additional options for audience engagement within the city.
Through meaningful strategic partnerships, MCS Chorus reaches and engages a significant number of communities within the city, embracing Mississauga’s many multi-generational diversities.
